Huawei released its 2023 annual report on the 29th. Huawei said it achieved annual sales of 704.2 billion yuan (based on about 130.8051 trillion won, 1 yuan = 185.75 won) and net profit of 87 billion yuan (about 16.160.2 trillion won) in 2023, meeting expectations.

 

Over the past year, Huawei's ICT infrastructure business has maintained solid growth, while its consumer business has performed in line with expectations.

 

Cloud computing and digital power businesses have also continued to grow steadily, and in the case of intelligent automobile solution businesses, large-scale delivery has begun.

 

Huawei, which values research and innovation, invested 164.7 billion yuan (about 30.59 trillion won) in R&D in 2023, accounting for 23.4% of the company's annual sales.

 

Huawei's investment in R&D over the past decade amounts to a total of 1.11 trillion yuan (about 206.1825 trillion won).

 

Last year, Huawei performed in line with expectations, said Ken Hu, chairman of Huawei Circulation.

 

"Many things have happened over the past few years, but Huawei has been able to grow through a series of challenges.

 

Huawei was able to continue, survive and grow thanks to the trust and support of customers, partners and colleagues around the world," he said.

 

In terms of sales by business in 2023, △ICT infrastructure business increased 2.3% year-on-year to 362 billion yuan (about 67.24 trillion won) △consumer business increased 17.3% year-on-year to 251.5 billion yuan (about 46.716 trillion won) △cloud computing business increased 21.9% year-on-year to 55.3 billion yuan (about 10.2719 trillion won) △digital power business increased 3.5% year-on-year to 52.6 billion yuan (about 9.77 trillion won). In addition, sales of the intelligent automobile solution business increased 128.1% year-on-year to 4.7 billion yuan (about 873.2025 billion won).

 

In the future, Huawei plans to support technological development and modernization of various industries based on continuous investment in technology and open innovation, while aiming for quality-based success and making efforts to ensure that excellent product power is established as Huawei's core competitiveness.

 

He also expressed his ambition to actively pursue open collaboration and shared success with 9.5 million developers and 46,000 ecosystem partners around the world.

 

Through this, Huawei plans to focus on developing core ICT technologies as well as building platform capabilities for complex hardware and sophisticated software systems, open them up to partners, and promote common success.
